The Purge was adequate but too predicable. In a not so distant future, America is now governed by radicals who believe the way to reduce crime and stimulate the economy is to allow its citizens to purge their anger and criminal desires without repercussions. While there are other topics within the annual purging like poverty, they are only hovered over and never really touched. Actually, it isn't even explained why or how the purge came about. I would recommend waiting to see this movie on Redbox.
