Runner Runner (2013)

The plot of Runner Runner was a bit formulaic: good guy gets greedy and gets in over his head in a scheme then figures out a way to clear his name and beat the bad guy in the end. Ben Affleck did a good job playing the bad guy. Overall, an enjoyable movie.

Gravity (2013)

Gravity was an excellent Movie! Wasn't sure I would like this movie especially only having 2 actors in the whole movie, but boy was I wrong. The 3D effects were amazing and The story-line was awesome. Even got teary eyed and panicky at moments. I definitely recommend going to see this.

Red 2 (2013)

Red 2 was a great movie. Really funny. Amazing cast, action and comedy kept the movie moving along. I'd recommend. You didn't have to see the first one to enjoy this one, but returning fans of the brand would have picked up on a few extra elements with in the story and characters. Smart story curves to keep you guessing how it would turn out.

The Conjuring (2013)

I liked The Conjuring. I am curious how accurate it is based on the true story. The actors are great and I liked the setting of the mood and the build up of tension. Reminds me of films of the past. Very little CGI which is a good thing. A refreshing supernatural tale.

Pacific Rim (2013)

I was a little concerned that Pacific Rim was going to be too much like Godzilla vs. The Power Rangers. However, it was nothing like I expected. I thought this movie was great and I've already seen it twice and it hasn't been released yet. I highly recommend this movie.

Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain (2013)

Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain was funny but not side splitting funny. I wouldn't recommend someone pay to see it especially given the length, only 75 minutes. But it would be worth renting from Redbox.

The Heat (2013)

The Heat had me laughing from beginning to end! Sandra Bullock shows once again that she has no trouble in a comedic role. Her nerdy character was the perfect pairing with McCarthy's rough and tumble, no-nonsense street cop. McCarthy is such a natural comedienne; I laugh just looking at her! I would recommend this to my friends and family!
