I'd say that Disney did a good job with the backstory of Oz the Great and Powerful. If one remembers The Wizard Of Oz, we only knew little about Oz but this movie explores who he is as a person. One thing Oz says is great "I don't want to be a good man, I want to be a great one". We finally see Oz as some for of con artist with dreams of making history like the person he looks up to Thomas Edison. Not only did I get to know more about Oz but also got to see more about the land of Oz itself.
